This is one part of our journey in creating spaces at Woodward that help our students self-monitor, self-identify, and self-manage their social-emotional well-being and their learning.
Our old computer lab prior to renovations.
Clearing the space.
Decluttering our smaller lab.
Our furniture starts to arrive and we begin building our new environments together.
Dividers create unique spaces within the lab. This can create a formal workspace or a place for groups to learn together.
Our furniture provides ample opportunities for our students to find the right place to regulate. Many students ask, "What's this?" and we are able to share conversations with them about the what, how, and why for self-management skills.
