Action for 2026-2027!

An action that we have taken to support our school’s learning focus is:At our June staff meeting, teaching staff confirmed that, based on our discussions at collaboration in May, we will continue to support all students in building Literacy skills.  Teaching teams will start the new school year with a focus on supporting students who continue to experience challenges in the learning.  Explorations will be around finding ways to support these students to enhance their learning experience and overall progress.
This action supports our school’s learning focus in the following ways:
  • Meeting the needs of students who continue to experience ‘stretches’ in their learning
  • Exploration of ideas, methods, and resources that support students ‘where they are at’ on their individual learning journey (i.e. phonic awareness, writing activities and conferencing, guided reading, etc.)
  • School wide reading assessments will take place in September and in Spring Term, providing data needed to show progress across time
