In our June Professional Development Day, staff decided we would have a common framework of questions that the entire school would use throughout the year when working on Inquiry in the Classroom. This framework will involve focusing on 3 themes that we believe will create consistency throughout our school, so as students move from grade to grade, there will be consistency of language as they learn through the Inquiry Process. The 3 overarching themes are:

Observe (What I see)                       Ideas (What I Think/Know)                  Questions (What I Wonder)

We will also create a chart in a central location where staff can record questions that have been generated in the classroom. Our goal is to eventually use this chart as a resource that can be published and displayed in our classrooms, as an example of great Inquiry Questions for staff and students to draw from.
